ChatRex Commerce Bridge

Synchronizes published miniShop2 products with ChatRex so AI assistants can answer product, price, availability and storefront-link questions from read-only catalog data. It never sends customers, orders or payments and never writes to the MODX catalog.

Requirements

Use MODX Revolution 2.8.x (tested on 2.8.9-pl), miniShop2 4.4.2-pl or later in the 4.x series, PHP 8.1+, MySQL and cURL. MODX 3 and MiniShop3 are not supported. Check the installed miniShop2 version; the required 4.x release is available from https://modstore.pro/packages/ecommerce/minishop2. Your store needs a public HTTPS URL and outbound HTTPS access to app.chatrex.pro.

The Extra is free to download. Using it requires a separate paid ChatRex subscription for MODX Commerce. Back up your site and database before installation or updates.

Install and connect

Configure the bot and chat

In the ChatRex bot editor, add the MODX Commerce actions under Integrations and actions and select the connected store. Available actions: search products, get product details, check inventory, and get a storefront link. Compare a test answer with your store. Do not promise exact quantities if stock tracking is disabled.

This Extra does not install a website chat widget. Connect Online Chat separately, allow the storefront domain, install its chat code and assign the channel to your bot.

The integration only reads published catalog data. It does not create orders, modify products, or transfer customers, orders or payments.

Fixed miniShop2 version detection on MODX 2.8.9. The integration now recognizes an installed miniShop2 4.4.2-pl package and allows pairing.
