Thumb3x: Modern Image Processing for MODX 3

Thumb3x is a powerful and flexible image processing component built exclusively for MODX 3.

This component was written to fill a gap in the MODX 3 ecosystem, which lacks modern and reliable tools for working with images. Most solutions that work on MODX 3 have not been updated in over 10 years.

Key Features

Powered by the high-performance Glide 3.0.1 library, providing on-the-fly image generation with advanced caching. Supports modern image formats.

Media Source support allows working with images from any location. All key parameters (processing driver, permissions) are available as system settings.

Supports not only cropping and resizing, but also applying filters, effects, and watermarks via simple snippet parameters.

The component keeps a record of all generated files in the database, providing a basis for analytics and allowing for cache management through a convenient grid in the manager.

• New thumb3x.cache_path_mode setting - cache path scheme: source (default, behaviour unchanged), hashed, flat
• Thumb3xHandler.php - in hashed/flat mode the source path never appears in the cache URL, file name = hash column
• Remove.php - removing a record now cleans emptied folders up the tree to the cache root
