Yametrika3x — Yandex Metrica directly in MODX

The Yametrika3x component integrates full Yandex Metrica analytics into the MODX3 admin panel.

What the component does

Yametrika3x loads data from Yandex Metrica on a schedule and stores it in its own database tables.

Component tabs

• Overview: summary KPI cards (today vs yesterday) and an interactive traffic chart
• Traffic: detailed day-by-day table — visits, pageviews, unique visitors; weekends highlighted in color
• Pages: top site pages by pageviews for the selected period, with URL search
• Search Engines: organic traffic sources with the share of each search engine
• Search Phrases: queries that visitors use to find the site
• Geography: audience distribution by country and region
• Browsers: browser statistics with percentage breakdown
• Gender and Age: demographic profile of the audience
• Sync: log of all data loads, manual triggering, loading for a custom period
• Settings: management of token, counter, and data retention parameters
• Documentation: built-in help right inside the component interface

Data can be filtered by period: today, 7 days, 30 days, quarter, year, or a custom range.

Tech stack

• hywax/ya-metrika: PHP client for working with the Yandex Metrica API
• HTMX: partial page updates without reloading, lazy loading of tabs on click
• UIKit 3 (scoped): UI components isolated from MODX styles, with no conflicts with ExtJS
• Cron: three sync modes — hourly (today/yesterday data), daily (7 days), weekly (deep history)

• Obsolete files are deleted from installed sites on upgrade
• Permissions: yametrika3x_view, _sync, _remove, _settings (added to the Administrator policy; Yametrika3xManagerPolicy and Yametrika3xViewerPolicy)

• Cron: one run at a time, interrupted runs are marked as errors, batch writes, new setting yametrika3x_weekly_sync_days (90)
• More reliable API requests: calendar date windows, per-section errors
• Fixed URL normalization of already stored pages
• Overview: yesterday vs the day before; "Users" marked as a sum of days
• Guzzle is taken from the MODX core
