Instructions

  • Install TipTapEditor through Package Management.
  • Installation sets the system settings which_editor to "TipTapEditor" and use_editor to 1. Open any resource: the content field and Rich Text TVs use the editor.
  • Adjust the toolbar and other options in System Settings, namespace "tiptapeditor".
  • To upload images from the computer or copy them by link, enable tiptapeditor.upload_enabled and set tiptapeditor.upload_path. Upgrading from TiptapRTE (0.1.0-alpha15 and older): uninstall TiptapRTE first, then install TipTapEditor and set your settings again. Full documentation: https://exitossu.github.io/TipTapEditorModx3/
  • New in 0.1.0-alpha19

    0.1.0-alpha19

    • Uploaded images keep their own file name when "Upload file name prefix" is empty: "Фото 1.jpg" becomes foto-1.jpg, with no random suffix.
    • When the prefix is set, it becomes the file name and the extension stays: {id} gives 15.jpg.
    • A name already taken in the folder gets -1, -2 and so on, so existing files are never overwritten. This also works for several files uploaded at once and for images copied by link.

    0.1.0-alpha18

    • Placeholders in the upload folder (tiptapeditor.upload_path) and in the new setting tiptapeditor.upload_file_prefix: {id}, {pid}, {alias}, {palias}, {context}, {tid}, {uid}, {rand}, {t}, {y}, {m}, {d}, {h}, {i}, {s}. Example: assets/uploads/{y}/{m}/{id}/.
    • The server fills them in for every upload: from the computer, by drag and drop, and by link.
    • {id} and {alias} work once the resource is saved; in a new resource the editor asks to save it first. {pid} and {palias} work right away.
    • A value can never add or leave a folder level.
    • New setting tiptapeditor.upload_rand_length: length of {rand} (default 6).
    • Upgrading keeps existing settings.
